Today’s topic – Inbound vs. Outbound Marketing
Both are meant to get the business from a targeted market. However, #Inbound keeps customer preferences and interests in check while #Outbound is great for initial awareness with a hint of annoyance or interruption.
Also, Inbound includes new #marketingchannels like social media, etc. whereas Outbound is very reliant on traditional mediums like print, radio, etc.
Having said that DOES NOT MEAN Inbound can’t be intrusive. It CAN if you do wrong personalization in emails, respond to queries after a day or so, use link-bait tactics to drive traffic to product/service page instead of intended blog post, etc.
Likewise, Outbound IS NOT at all boring if you merge your branded social media channels into your newspapers ads, use correct bar code to drive traffic from a billboard. You ARE actually winning on customer experience, and educating people to connect with you online.
